This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the launch of the first targeted therapy for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), where you will play a key role in our European sales team!


You will identify and develop long-term partnerships with selected specialists, predominantly hospital-based, payer groups and other stakeholders. As a KAM you will establish stable and positive networks to lead discussions related to this therapeutic area, and support physicians in their choice of the used dry ADM therapy. On occasions, you will also be present in the theatre to support physicians with your expert advice.


This is the right place for you as a self-starter, keen to demonstrate your excellent capabilities and being recognised as a high-performer. Working in a team of experienced hospital specialists, you will support the launch of the first approved therapeutic option, solely targeted on patients suffering from dry AMD. 

What is AMD?

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) – the most common reason for blindness in the 50+ population worldwide (1)


There are two basic types of macular degeneration: “dry” and “wet.” Approximately 85% to 90% of the cases of macular degeneration are the “dry” (atrophic) type. “Dry” age-related macular degeneration does not involve any leakage of blood or serum.

Loss of vision may still occur. Patients with this “dry” form may have good central vision (20/40 or better) but substantial functional limitations, including fluctuating vision, difficulty reading because of their limited area of central vision, limited vision at night or under conditions of reduced illumination functional limitations, including fluctuating vision, difficulty reading because of their limited area of central vision, limited vision at night or under conditions of reduced illumination (2).

How does the Product work?

Our partner has developed the first approved dry AMD focused therapy worldwide. Whilst it cannot cure the disease, it can reduce its impact on patients daily life, helping them to regain a better vision.

The solution is a special lens which creates an image of superior quality at each point of the retina and avoids the use of the AMD affected area of the macula.


This results in the image quality being maintained as sharp even at the side of the retina. The procedure to apply the device takes app. 10min only and the healing is reduced to a few weeks. .

How does the Project work?

In this global project with Europe in its very focus, you will partner with a dedicated group of high professionals in sales and medical. Since this is a purely Syneos Health managed team, it is granted that your great performance will be seen and rewarded. Our Key Account Managers are reporting directly to the National Sales Manager and have access to the wider European sales organisation.  


Managing your territory and being supported on the medical side by our MSL, grants you access to the top Key Opinion Leaders in Ophthalmology. As a real manager of your assigned geography, you will have the opportunity to support physicians on a daily base in their efforts to increase the quality of life for thousands of patients.



You can look forward to a competitive salary - depending on your level of experience between 55.000€ and 70.000€ - an attractive bonus of app. 15% of your annual gross salary, a life insurance, a company car and additional benefits,  Moreover you will have access to 1.000+ online trainings supporting your professional development.
